DIY RECIPE OF THE MONTH
"There’s rosemary, that’s for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember."
William Shakespeare
With the New Year comes promises of Spring and new intentions for an improved, or rather continued healthy and happy life. Personally, that means more laughter and love, hitting the trails and being active!
If you are like me, you'll be wanting to spend less time washing your hair, and more time in the fresh air. The recipe for this dry shampoo is a mix of several great DIY recipes I have tried in the past. I love using any of our Organic Alcohols for this recipe, but you can get creative seeing which works best for your scent combination (my pick for summer months- Organic Craft Grade Coconut and some Tonka-Bean essential oil, dreamy).
For this time of year though, the brightness of herbal essential oils helps to lift my spirits and balance out the overcast skies. In this particular recipe I used a mix of Lavender and Rosemary essential oils and a Hydrosol I have been saving from distillations I ran this summer. Distilled water of any kind will work perfectly.
After working up (or waking up) to untidy locks, a few spritzes of this at the roots gives your 'do' a little more legs.
As always, test this out on the skin to ensure no unpleasant reactions and avoid the eyes, If you have delicate or processed hair, I would recommend being extra careful! Also, note that the beauty of this is you can scent it however you like, but some citrus can affect hair color!
