Kari is a recovering beauty junkie, who takes great pride in her formulation practices. Lisa’s a sustainability champion who keeps the business humming along. Together, these ladies built a beauty company with a cult following that focuses on keeping beauty real, effective, and relatable.

ORIGINS
After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder in her late-twenties, Kari started to think about the connection between what she put on her skin and her health. As a diehard beauty junkie, Kari wanted performance products that were also kind to her skin. Unable to find something in the market that met her conscious standards, she developed a natural, back-to-basics routine that made sense for her skin’s needs.

What’s the biggest differentiator between Kari Gran and other clean skin care brands?
Our tagline is skincare as simple as it should be. Our products are created with a “less is more” approach that not only saves time, but it also protects the skin from enduring too much. Trends change. What your skin needs never does. It’s a timeless protective layer that likes what it likes and craves simple care—pure solutions that clear impurities, build strength, replenish moisture and deflect UVB/UVA damage.

If someone is just starting out on their clean skin care journey, what’s the number one thing or Kari Gran product you recommend?
Our desert island product is the Essential SPF. SPF is so under-rated but so incredibly important. So many people are chasing the anti-aging train. Our products focus on health and hydration not youth and perfection. Why not focus on prevention instead of repair? And honestly, it’s never too late to start.
